Send Forth Love

I am reminded as a retired nurse that the holidays are often marked by tragedy and grief. I had seen it many times in my career. Again we are reminded. I was sent this.

Hello Willard,
Just wanted you to know my husband died on Thursday after a fall early last Saturday morning.

He was taken to the hospital where he was diagnosed with head trauma. He was operated on to remove the blood in his head. Operation went well but bleeding started again. Plavax was the cause of his death according to doctors.

Again, after this was sent another came to me. As nurses we knew how busy, sad, and lonely the holidays could be. We have known as well as continue to know loss during this time period. Let us keep her and her family in our prayers. Let us remember all those who have lost loved ones so close and during the holiday season. While we are at it, if you personally know someone who has suffered a loss, reach out bring them. Provide a dinner. Help watch children. Send forth love. The little things matter. Amen.

November 2018 Prayer

Father, I enter your gates with thanksgiving and present an offering of thanks.  I enter into your courts with praise!  I am thankful and delight in saying so, I bless and affectionately praise your Name.  For You are good and Your mercy and loving-kindness are everlasting. Your faithfulness and truth endure to all generations.  It is a good and delightful thing to give thanks to You Oh Most High.

Lord, by Your Holy Spirit, perfect the fruit of my lips.  Help me draw thanksgiving forth from my inner most resources; reach down into the most secret places of my heart that I might offer a significant thanksgiving, to you Father.  Father, I come to You in the name of Jesus.  With the help of the Holy Spirit and by Your grace, I join with the heavenly hosts making a joyful noise to You and serving You with gladness.  Lord I know, recognize and understand, that You are God. It is You who made us and not we ourselves.  For we are Your people and the sheep of Your pasture.

I'm grateful for the victories and achievements I have experienced, in spite of my hurts. You use them for good even though Satan intended them for my destruction. Thank You for life-life in all its abundance.  It is You who gave me a desire to pray, and I am grateful for the prayer closet where we meet, and I thank You for Your Word.  Life is exciting, and I am grateful that I am alive for such a time as this.

Thank you for past and present relationships.  I learned from those who oppose me and those who are for me. You taught me to recognize and understand my strengths and weaknesses.  You give me discernment and spiritual understanding.  I enter Your gates with thanksgiving in my heart.

You are my Father. I am your child, loved by you unconditionally.  I rejoice in You, Lord, and give thanks at the remembrance of Your Holiness.  I am an overcomer by the Blood of the Lamb and by the word of my testimony, in the Name of Jesus, The Christ, Amen!

October 2018 Prayer

Father in Jesus name, I thank You that the love of God has been poured forth into my heart by the Holy Spirit Who has been given to me. I keep and treasure Your Word. The love of and for You, Father, has been perfected and completed in me, and that perfect love casts out all fear.

Father, I am Your child, and I commit to walk in the God kind of love. To walk in the Christ kind of love through the power of Your Holy Spirit. I will endure long; I will be patient and kind. I will not be envious or jealous. I will not be boastful or prideful. I will not be haughty or vain. I will not be rude and unmannerly, and I will not act unbecoming of my station as a Christ follower.

I will not insist on my own rights or ways. I will not be self-seeking, touchy, resentful, or fretful. I take no account of an evil done to me and pay no attention to a suffered wrong. I will not rejoice in injustice and unrighteousness, but will rejoice when right and truth prevail. I will bear up under everything and anything that comes, I am ever ready to believe the best of others. My hopes are fadeless under all circumstances.

I endure all things without weakening because the love of God in me never fails. Father, I bless and pray for all who persecute me – who are cruel in their attitude toward me. I bless them and do not curse them. Therefore, my love abounds yet more and more in knowledge and judgement. I will approve things that are excellent, I am sincere and without offense till the day of Christ. I will be filled with the fruits of righteousness.

Everywhere I go I commit to sow seeds of love and righteousness. I thank you, Father, that you have gone ahead and prepared hearts to receive this love. Father I thank You that as I flow in Your love and wisdom, people are being blessed by my life and ministry. I will be rooted deep in love and be founded securely in that love, knowing that you are on my side and that nothing can separate me from Your love. Thank you in Jesus Name for your love to and through me, Amen.

July 2018 Prayer

Merciful God, in your great love for us, may we never forget your desire for obedience.  In your great grace, may we never trample your holiness. Apart from you, there is no love found in us for you are love.  In our culture, we see the forces of evil pulling and tugging, tearing and destroying. We are not caught by surprise because you prepared us for this eventuality in your Holy Word.  You told us there would be a great falling away. May we as Templars never be found amongst the numbers of people who have fallen away. By your strong and mighty hand, protect us and sustain us, that we may live and move in this, your creation as you intended and for your glory.

Steel our resolve as the devil prowls about to steal our joy.  May we never lose sight of the cross that purchased our salvation and the empty tomb which provides our hope and our promise.  May the blood of your son, sacrificed for us, cleanse us as you have promised. And may we never live lives that cheapen his most indescribable gift.

For it is in Christ’s name we ask it and for his sake.  Amen.

June 2018 Prayer

Most Holy Father, thank you for your love and your grace, thank you for your Holy word, thank you for your Son who gave his life so that we might live.

Your endless love abounds and rains down on us all, nurturing us and allowing us to grow as your children.

We pray that we live each day in a way that says, “thank you” for all that you’ve done, and continue to do, for us.

Help us to be a Christ-like example for others; may the light of your love and grace shine from within us leading those in darkness into the light.

Help us to have hearts that are open and accepting of others; help us to extend a welcoming hospitality to all, especially those whose hearts have been opened to your gentle knock. Thank you for comforting us Father so that we, in turn, may comfort others.

May we do all these good things in your holy name; and may we give all honor, praise, and glory to you.

Amen.

May 2018 Prayer

Almighty Father, we thank you for your son Jesus Christ who is a perfect example of grace, mercy, humility and love.

We are weak in temptation and have sinned against you in thought, word and deed. Satan utilizes any medium to separate us from God and weaken our faith. We are being deceived through politics to hate, lie and boast to inflate our ego’s, and to stop loving our neighbors as ourselves.

We ask you Father to implore your tender mercy’s through Your body and blood to cleanse us. We are truly sorry for all our immorality, pride and utterly renounce whatsoever is contrary to Your will.

We pray to devote ourselves to returning  our character as to Jesus Christ through humility, meekness and truth, so we can honestly follow Jesus again. We pray continuously so that we can love as Jesus instructed us, to love our neighbors as ourselves. IJN,

Amen

April 2018 Prayer

Most gracious Father,

We come to you today to thank you for all you have done. Father, for allowing us the privilege to enter your presence is something we don’t want to take for granted…and right now, we want to make the most use of.

Right now, oh Lord, we come to you on behalf of our brothers and sisters around the world who are suffering for your name’s sake. Grant them peace, strength, and boldness, as they seek to glorify your name in lands where the enemy seeks to silence your great and awesome glory. Father, gird them up in the power of your salvation, and clothe them in spirit of meekness and wisdom, as they set out to reach others with your saving gospel.

Most holy Saviour, we ask that you give us the boldness here – where there is no true persecution – to be strong and ever repentant witnesses of your holiness and saving grace. Grant us the power from on high to reach our world with the gospel of Christ, and give us the boldness to live that gospel daily – regardless of the consequences.

All this we ask in the most precious, and holy name of our Saviour, Jesus Christ.

Amen

February 2018 Prayer

Father God, You are our creator and sustainer of life. You are the one who formed and placed the stars in existence, yet you know us by name.

You have the number of hairs on our head numbered. You see the rising of the sun and the going down of the same and you are not subject to its rising or setting, it is subject to you and to your authority. In our day and time, we see the effects of sin all around us.

Our pastors flee from the authority given to them and burn with lust of the flesh rather than the fire and boldness of the Holy Spirit. Our churches have a semblance of the one who created them yet deny the power you have created them to be. And we see a world in decay as a result.

We ask, as your called and as your children, that you would give us a holy boldness to proclaim the truth of the Gospel of your son.

We ask in the power of the Holy Spirit and in the name of Christ that you would go before us, dwell in us, cover over us and speak through us that this world would see the life changing and saving grace that you offer through the blood of the lamb.

We ask that you protect our brothers and sisters in harms way and downrange, who suffer immense persecution for their faith.

We pray that their strength in peril emboldens us to support them in prayer and in service. And may you use us for YOUR GLORY, not for ours, as we seek to build your kingdom in this fallen world, and in these unfit vessels.

In Christ’s Holy and Precious Name we pray,

Amen.
